Skating Lessons

Learn to skate in a friendly and supportive environment, get some exercise and have heaps of fun!

Adult Learn-to-Skate

The Icehouse offers lessons for adults so anyone, young or old, can learn to skate in a fun, supportive and relaxed environment.

These classes are unique in that they allow you to move at your own place, while always giving you new challenges and goals to set for yourself.

The Adult Learn-to-Skate program for adults run over a six-week period, with 30 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of practice each week.

Four levels move you through the basic skills of ice skating, so whether it's your first time on the ice, or you're just looking to brush up on your skills, the Icehouse has a class for you.

A six-week Adult Learn-to-Skate program costs $108.00 + a one-off $62.00 registration fee, and is available four* days a week to fit in with your schedule. Skate and helmet hire is included in the cost of the program.

Programs Refund Policy

A full or partial refund will be issued if:

  1. The Icehouse is unable to provide the program that the participant originally paid for due to lack of demand, technical issues or rescheduling.
  2. Severe injury or illness prevents the participant from beginning or completing the full program.

Full or partial credit will be issued if:

  1. Minor injury or illness prevents the participant from beginning or completing the full program.
  2. The participant is not suited for the particular program they’ve registered for, and is moved to another program. In this case, the credit from the original program will be used to fund the new program.

Refund or credit will not be issued in cases in which:

  1. The participant is not interested in completing the program.
  2. The participant’s availability changes, and they are unable to complete the program.
  3. The participant engages in abusive, immoral or disruptive behavior towards Icehouse staff or visitors, and is dismissed from the venue.
