The Icehouse opened its doors to the public for the first time on Friday, February the 12th. Approximately 500 guests attended the spectacular Opening, including the Premier of Victoria John Brumby, who officially opened the venue.
An email went out on the 17th of December to people registered for Icehouse updates to have an exclusive pre-opening tour of the Icehouse. We had an amazing response and were very pleased to see that there is so much support already for the Icehouse.
The Icehouse is pleased to announce that Rink 1 is named the Henke Rink, in honour of Geoffrey Henke AO and in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the promotion and development of winter sports in Australia.
